
Protests were taking position in South Korea’s capital Seoul over Japan’s planned launch of handled radioactive water from the wrecked Fukushima nuclear plant.
The head of the UN’s nuclear watchdog, Rafael Grossi, who is in Seoul, has endorsed the idea nonetheless surveys in South Korea prove overwhelming public opposition to the launch.
The plant used to be severely damaged in 2011 after being struck by a tsunami.
